Complete extension, refurbishment and adaptation of an existing detached dwelling to offer lifetime, accessible accommodation for a family with disabled child.
The existing property was a large Victorian dwelling which initially posed some challenges and restrictions to conventional adaptation. The property was in a poor state of repair, requiring general refurbishment and conservation, in addition to extensive re-modelling and re-arrangement of the interior arrangement. The project therefore included new extensions and substantial landscaping scheme in additional to sympathetic refurbishment.
The completed project offered a stunning refurbishment of a traditional Victorian dwelling while incorporating all the necessary accessible features tailored specifically to individual needs.
Interior propsals were completed throughout, complimentated by the family’s own desire and interest in obtaining and restoring reclaimed items of furniture and fittings. These were installed throughout to offer a specific centre piece for each room, while complementing the classical, but modern approach to interior design.
The completed property was a stunning family home.
