Extension and alteration of an existing detached dwelling for a private client.
The family required a bold, modern but simple extension to the rear of the existing property to create separate “granny-flat” accommodation.
The extension was designed to sit comfortably with the existing dwelling while offering a modern design approach to maximise value. The proposal was simple yet strong and flexible enough to allow the space to be converted to other uses in future.
The extension incoporated adaptable level access accommodation at it’s heart, but included a dramatic open plan Lounge, Kitchen/Dining area which incorporated a glazed feature wall and bi-fold doors to maximise space, light and views increasing enjoyment of the garden.
Other accommodation included separate access, Hallway, Utility, Double Bedroom and large En suite Wetroom, within rationalised use of space offering a highly cost effective development. The extension was also complemented by a felxible landscaping scheme of patios, social spaces and soft planting. Additional garage and car parking areas were also created
PH Partnership developed the proposals in full 3D, followed by detailed design and site co-ordinationof the whole project until full completion on site. Design services also included lighting design and interior design consideration in addition to landscaping and refurbishment of existing areas.
